Dileep Raina did his M.S.(Chem) followed by MBA-Marketing from UBS , Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1978. Starting his career as Management Trainee with BILT group ,currently known as Avan tha group ,he was involved in their upcoming overseas paper projects in South East Asia in the field of Paper, Glass and textiles. Subsequently he joined German Multinational Voith Group who are global leaders in the field of Paper Industry .As their Country Sales and Export Manager he was instrumental in opening up new markets in neighboring countries of Indian Sub-continent, Eastern Europe and South East Asia .As an Industry veteran he is now the President(Marketing) for Wires & Fabriks (SA) Ltd who are a global player in the field of Engineered Industrial Fabrics , Machines and Chemicals for Paper Industry and allied Industries. Raina has been with the company for over 20 years now and apart from steering the company to a commanding position in India , has also created its footprints in over 20 countries in South East Asia ,Asia Pacific ,Middle East ,Eastern Europe ,Africa and South America.
A regular and well known speaker in the Industry seminars , Raina is a keen HR enthusiast .He holds regular training and behavioural workshops in corporate sector and interacts extensively with students in Management Institutes for imparting reality checks to them and also for their Faculty Development Programmes.
Dr. Manju Raina retiredas Director from the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India and has over 30 years of experience in teaching,research and environmental governance.
Dr Raina completed her Ph.D in Chemistry from Panjab University, Chandigarh and worked for few years in the field of teaching and research in IIT Delhi and Indian Oil Corporation ,R&D Centre Faridabad. She joined the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India in 1989 in the National River Conservation Directorate and handled assignments related to water quality monitoring of rivers and Lakes and other projects under the Directorate. Dr. Raina is well versed with technologies available in combating water pollution issues and has travelled extensively to various countries studying the possible technology transfer in this field.She has completed the River Basin Management Programme in London from Reading University, in collaboration with Thames River Authority,UK. She was the UNIDO sponsored delegate to various countries like Japan and other Asia Pacific countries.She has been the Indian delegate in the UNCRD sponsored conferences on "Regional 3R Forum in Asia for Sustainable Development" held at Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Dr Raina has expertise in setting up of Common Effluent Treatment Plantsfor small scale industrial clusters across the country and has a rich experience of interactions with the industry with regard to policy for mulations in the field of Environmental Protection , procedures and provisions. She is a keen promoter of environmental issues at all levels and has many scientific publications to her credit on the subject.
